Latin Grammy nominated & Brazilian Music Awards granted artist, songwriter, composer and musician in his own right, considered to be a principal part of the Brazilian popular music scene revival (MPB), Rogê has released 7 solo albums and 2 collaborations – with samba legend Arlindo Cruz (Na Veia, 2016, Warner Music) and with Seu Jorge (Seu Jorge & Rogê, 2020, Night Dreamer Records). Now based in Los Angeles, CA, he released “CURYMAN” (Diamond West Records) , his debut album in the United States, in March 2023. Lavishly produced by the Budos Band’s Thomas Brenneck, a top session guitarist and collaborator with the stars (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse), Curyman also launched Brenneck’s new label, Diamond West. It is a joyous, celebratory samba album, bringing a message of redemption and resistance, of resilience, according to Rogê, “so that we don’t give in to sadness, to laziness, to a lack of desire to move on with life. It’s the certainty that a new day will dawn.”
