Lars Kroon

Lars Kroon is een Nederlandse zanger-liedschrijver. Als een stille observator bezingt hij de tegenstrijdigheden van het menselijk bestaan met droefgeestige, poëtische teksten. Zijn donkere stem draagt liederen die zowel wiegend als schurend kunnen zijn, intens maar nooit voorspelbaar.

Kroon is een toegewijde buitenstaander die zijn liedjes eerder volgt dan dat hij ze leidt, als een vogelaar die een roep achterna gaat, zonder vastomlijnde bestemming, maar open voor alle paden. Met een scherp oog voor absurditeit schetst hij een wereld die zowel herkenbaar als vervreemdend is, en waarin zwaarmoedigheid en schoonheid hand in hand gaan.

Vanaf 2025 treedt Lars Kroon op met zijn nieuwe band, in aanloop naar de release van zijn nieuwe album dat uitkomt in het najaar.

Lars Kroon is a Dutch singer-songwriter. As a quiet observator, he sings about the contradictions from human existence with melancholic and poetic lyrics. His dark voice brings songs that can be both cradling as abrasive, intense but never predictable.

Kroon is a dedicated outsider who follows his songs more than he leads them, like a birdwatcher who follows his call, without a well-defined destination, but open for every path. With a sharp eye for absurdity he sketches a world that is both recognisable and alienating, and where melancholy and beauty go hand in hand.

From 2025 onwards Lars Kroon will perform with his new band, in the run-up to the release of his new album that is coming this autumn.
