
Formed in 2019, they have become widely known through collaborations with various brands and advertisements. The unfamiliar sound, influenced by unique vocals and new waves, is very danceable and can be enjoyed with familiarity. Despite the pandemic, they have attracted attention at Korean music festivals and headline shows, as well as touring internationally in European festivals & venues, Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong. The 1st full-length album “SUGUNGGA” released in 2020, won three awards at the 18th Korean Music Awards, including “Musician of the Year” and “Best Modern Rock Song.”
They have participated in festivals including Clockenflap, WOMAD, Roskilde Festival and Pohoda. LEENALCHI has also contributed to various drama OSTs and recently participated in the series “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born” OST with the song “Bird.”
For their sophomore album project, LEENALCHI are releasing a new single every month. The single “God of Mud” is the fourth track following the first single Lesser Gods and Chimeras, which included the tracks “Look At Me Look At Me” and “Watch Your Step”, and the blaring single “HIHI HAHA.” In “God of Mud,” LEEHANLCHI playfully sing the adventures of Duhmy and Zaru to a hypnotically laid-back beat. The music video, featuring illustrations by artist Yoon Yeji and typography from MHTL Studio, is directed by the young director Lee Na-kyung and invites you into LEENALCHI’s strange and fantastical world.
